The Finnish company Atolli is an expert in the installation of piping systems. A resistant ECTFE piping system manufactured by AGRU Kunststofftechnik GmbH has now been successfully installed in a Finnish laboratory. The innovative system improves safety and research conditions by reliably enabling the handling of aggressive substances.
Atolli, a long-standing customer and partner of AGRU, professionally carried out the installation of the ECTFE piping system. Thanks to the good cooperation between AGRU’s application engineering department and Atolli’s specialists, a first-class ECTFE pipe system with outside diameters ranging from 160 mm to 315 mm was installed without any problems. The material used, ECTFE, is known for its outstanding resistance to aggressive media and high temperature ranges between -30 °C and +140 °C.
“ECTFE combines robustness and flexibility, it resists UV and gamma radiation, has excellent electrical insulation capabilities and is self-extinguishing. In addition, it is resistant to the growth of microorganisms,” explains Erich Gruber, application engineer at AGRU Kunststofftechnik GmbH.
Manufactured in Austria, AGRU’s ECTFE piping system offers numerous advantages, including reduced installation costs, extremely long system life and superior chemical resistance. It proves its strength especially when dealing with concentrated sulfuric acid (H2SO4), nitric acid (HNO3), strong oxidizing agents such as hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), sodium hypochlorite (NaClO), and concentrated alkalis. AGRU provides a wide range of ECTFE-based solutions specifically tailored to meet the requirements of each individual project.
